Kyparissia is 10 km away on the southwest coast of Peloponnese and is surrounded by vineyards, melon fields and olive groves. It is divided into the Old (Upper) Town, with its still well-preserved traditional settlement, and New (Down) Town. The old town below the castle with its stone houses drapes picturesquely on the slopes with its small cozy taverns and craft shops and the new Kyparissia stretches in the flat part all the way to the sea with the idyllic little port, the beautiful beach bars of the large platia and the modern shops and entertainment venues. The area is famous for its endless beaches and known for the “Caretta” turtles that lay their eggs there.

Just a few meters from the sand/pebble beach of the same name. You reach the next taverns after approx. 2 km. Kalamata Airport is about 75 km away. A rental car is recommended!
