Ascona is the lowest situated town in Switzerland. It lies at 196 metres above sea level on the northern shore of Lake Maggiore. Ascona is famous for its old town, the southern lake promenade with its street cafés and the mild climate.

The Hotel Polo is a cosy house with a personal touch on the exit road from Ascona and on the edge of the old town. The house is a stone's throw from the lake.
